FAQs

What time should I have my photographer arrive to my event?

It all depends on what photos are most important to you. If you would like photos of untouched details, we recommend having your photographer arrive 5 minutes prior to the event start time. If detail photos of decor are not as important to you, we suggest having your photographer arrive approximately 30 minutes into your event as your guests begin to relax and are ready for photos!

How far in advance should I book my event?

We encourage people to book a minimum of 2-3 weeks in advance. More notice is always best to ensure your date is available. We are happy to try our best to accommodate last minute inquiries, just send us an email!

Will my photos be edited?

Your photos will be color corrected and contain other light edits. However, your photos will not be retouched for things like skin smoothing and weight loss. You are free to edit/filter/use the FaceTune app to edit your photos however you like. You can also inquire about retouching rates for your favorite images.

Is my event right for EventPix?

We do not photograph births or weddings. We specialize in photographing events where the host/hostess is happy to have our photographer there to capture images of the event and people attending, but there is no need for off-camera/additional lighting setups or a second shooter. If you’re unsure whether we are the right fit for you, email us with any questions. We will be happy to point you in the right direction for your photography needs..

Can I get just one professional headshot while the photographer is at my event?

No. Please do not ask our photographers to do anything outside the realm of event photography. You are welcome to have the photographer capture groups of people, but they will not be “professional portraits” for use for things such as headshots. We have great recommendations for professional headshot or family portrait photographers!

How will I receive my images?

Once your shoot time has expired, your photographer will remain on-site to process your pix. He/She will color correct, cull your photos and upload them to a password protected gallery.

* You must have an internet connection available to receive your images on-site. If there is no available high speed internet connection, your images will be delivered after the photographer departs in a reasonable amount of time.

How can I use my images?

Any way you want! Yes, that’s right. You have full reign on editing and you can filter them! No real rules here. The only exception is that if using for advertising (a paid publication - online or print) you must contact EventPix directly for permissions. Of course we’d also love ANY shout out or photo cred you’d like to give!

Can I view all of the images taken during the event?

Our photographers are trained to choose the best images from your event. The images delivered to you are done so at the discretion of each photographer’s creative direction. You can add on time or more images. Additional images will also be chosen based on photographers discretion. There are no exceptions :)
